Well-known for its fifty sailboats (motorsailers) and units dedicated to offshore cruising, the Nauticat Oy shipyard is based in Riihikoski. The shipyard's history began with the launch of the Nauticat 33 sailboat in 1961. In 50 years of activity, the company has built more than 10 yacht models ranging from 33 to 53 feet. The total production was over 3,000 yachts. The history dates back to the late 1950s when the founders laid the first small fiberglass boats.
